Text Box: The The Chowan Golf & Country Club is a semi-private country club located on the Albemarle Sound in historical Edenton, North Carolina.  Our vision is to provide a family oriented atmosphere to members and guests.  Chowan Golf & Country Club provides outstanding recreational and social value to all its members and proudly promotes the interest of the club to our guests and surrounding communities.       The clubhouse is located on the beautiful Albemarle Sound.  This lovely setting is defined by the breathtaking views of the water and sunsets. It is considered one of the finest locations in the Albemarle area to host weddings, business meetings, and parties.  Clubhouse facilities include men’s and ladies locker rooms, a well-stocked pro shop, and a grill room overlooking the Albemarle Sound.       The newly renovated golf course (best greens around) is a beautifully mature and meticulously maintained course that meanders through southern pines, scenic wetlands and adjoining ponds.  It is a Par 72 layout playing 6,542 yards from the championship tees.  The tennis complex offers three (3) hard surface courts with play at night under our professionally installed lights.  Men’s and ladies leagues are available.  The swimming pool overlooks the Albemarle Sound and a life guard is on duty during our busiest times. Lap swimming and a junior swim club are also available.
