Chowan Golf & Country Club (CGCC) is a semi-private country club located on the Albemarle Sound in historical Edenton, North Carolina.  Just 7 miles from the heart of Edenton, CGCC shares a rich heritage with “the prettiest town in the South”. 

Established in 1962, Chowan Golf & Country Club provides outstanding recreational and social value to all its members and proudly promotes the interest of the club to our guests and surrounding communities.

The 18-hole course, designed by Ellis Maples, meanders through southern pines, scenic wetlands and adjoining ponds.  Members, guests and visitors can enjoy the Par 72 layout playing 6,483 yards from the championship tees.  Course amenities include a driving range and practice green. 

Members and their guests are invited to use the saltwater filtration swimming pool that overlooks the Albemarle Sound, or one of our three lighted, hard surface tennis courts.  A variety of social events, clinics and tournaments are offered throughout the year for children and adults. 

The Ballroom overlooks the Albemarle Sound and offers breathtaking views of the water.  The room is available for weddings, private parties and meetings and catering options are available.   The pool is also available to rent for private parties from 6-9pm.
